Living the Dream, Dreaming the Life: Edwin Pratt in the 21st Century

In partnership with the Black Heritage Society of Washington, the City of Shoreline Public Art Program seeks emerging and established artists in the region with an interest in responding to the legacy and ideas of Edwin Pratt (1930 – 1969), Seattle civil rights pioneer.

Two primary modes of submitting work:

  1. Submit existing work that reflects his legacy or related themes; or
  2. Submit new work that responds directly to the source material. *Artists can access select images from the BHS-Pratt Legacy Collection at the link provided below.

The exhibition will be installed in City Hall Shoreline and the opening will coincide with the 50th anniversary of Pratt’s death.

Deadline for consideration: Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.  For more information, download the Full Call [PDF]
